Created with young designers and dressmakers in mind. These half day classes are aimed at tweens and teens (11-16) and will introduce them to using sewing machines, the process of creating clothing designs and creating an item of clothing with their own choice of fabric. They will learn some great skills along the way which means these classes may also be used to compliment Textiles GSCE and evidence the Duke of Edinburgh skills award.
Morning sessions run from 10am-12.30pm, afternoon sessions run from 1.30pm-4pm. More than one session can be booked, for attendees booking multiple sessions, content for each session will develop what they have learned in the previous session(s). (There will be a 1hr break between morning and afternoon sessions, those attending both sessions will be expected to make their own arrangements for lunch). Our classes are limited to four participants so every one can learn at their own pace and has access to the space and support they need.
