Working with stretch and jersey fabric can be daunting, but buy mastering a few simple techniques it can broaden your sewing horizons immensely.
 
During the day you will be introduced to the range of jersey fabrics available and have chance to work on a choice of top, dress and sweatshirt patterns for stretch fabrics.
 
The day will be very flexible to allow everyone to work at their own pace. During the class we will cover the basics of:
The range of jersey and stetch fabrics available
Machine set up for stretch fabric and how to run samples to get the settings just right
Sewing a range of stitches
Marking, pinning and cutting a pattern
Straight seams, necklines and hems
 
Sessions run from 10.30am to 3.30pm. Our classes are limited to six participants so every one has access to the space and support they need.
 
You will need to bring: 
We will advise you on the amounts for fabric and thread required for your chosen pattern (Tilly and the Buttons: Drew, Billy or Agnes)

Full Pattern, instructions and expert guidance will be provided throughout the course. Use of Janome sewing machines and all sewing equipment will be provided. (scissors, rulers, tape measures, pens, pencils). Tea, coffee and biscuits
