This course will introduce you to the art of patchwork as you create a number of pretty patchwork blocks using a number of different patchworking techniques.
The class will be very flexible to allow everyone to work at their own pace. During the course we will cover:
- Measuring and cutting
- Setting out your pattern
- Creating and combining blocks
- Windmill Block
- Log Cabin Block
- Catherdral Window Block
- Introduction to fremotion quilting
- Ideas for your patchwork projects.
Sessions run from 6-8pm. Our classes are limited to six participants so every one has access to the space and support they need.
You will need to bring:
Bring a selection of cotton fabric you wish to work with. (4-5 plain and patterned fat quarters are perfect for the first session, material requirements will be shared week by week)
What's included:
Full instructions and expert guidance will be provided throughout the course. Use of Janome sewing machines and all sewing equipment will be provided. (scissors, rulers, tape measures, pens, pencils). Tea, coffee and biscuits
