A dress making mannequin (or dress form) can be a real advantage when you are creating your own clothes, but they seldom adjust to exactly your size.
 
This class helps you size your mannequin perfectly to match your measurements and proportions., helping eliminate fit issues and giving you greater confidence in using it for your dressmaking projects.  
 
The class will be very flexible to allow everyone to work at their own pace. During the class we will cover the basics of:
Taking body measurements
  Creating shaped sizing pads 
  Transferring your measurement to your mannequin
Creating a shaped cover for your mannequin. 
 
Sessions run from 10.30am to 1.30pm. Our classes are limited to six participants so every one has access to the space and support they need.
 
You will need to bring: 
Your manequin, 1m of cotton jersey fabric (to cover your mannequin once fitted), an old but well fitting bra.
 
What's included:
Full instructions and expert guidance will be provided throughout the course. Wadding for shaping. Use of Janome sewing machines and all sewing equipment will be provided. (scissors, rulers, tape measures, pens, pencils). Tea, coffee and biscuits
