Be introduced to the art of pattern cutting. You will use your own measurements to create and toile (make samples of) three simple pattern blocks (skirt, trouser and darted bodice). We will then explore how to refine and improve the fit and add your own design flair.

Fittings are key to success so as we work through the course you will want to wear clothing that is easy to try thing on over or under. To get the most from this course a small amount of work between sessions will be helpful but not essential.

Please note, due to how the academic terms fall this year, this course will run over 5 weeks with one session taking place on a Saturday. Sessions will run from 10am to 1pm to ensure you receive the same tuition time. The dates of the sessions are Fri 27th Feb, Fri 6th March, Fri 13th March, Sat 21st March, Fri 27th March. Our classes are limited to six participants so every one has access to the space and support they need.
