Whether you have never used a sewing machine before or are returning to sewing and want to refresh your machine skills, this easygoing full day class is for you.
 
During the day you will be introduced to the technique of free motion embroidery and guided through creating a decorative panel using both texture and colour. 
 
The day will be very flexible to allow everyone to work at their own pace. During the class we will cover the basics of:
Machine set up
Controling your speed and direction
Creating basic shapes and building patterns
 
Sessions run from 10.30am to 3.30pm. Our classes are limited to six participants so every one has access to the space and support they need.
 
You will need to bring: 
Please bring fabrics you would like to use in your design (patterned and plain cotton or upholstery weight fabrics are perfect)
 
What's included:
Backing fabric and interfacing to create your design on. Full instructions and expert guidance will be provided throughout the course. Use of Janome sewing machines and all sewing equipment will be provided. (scissors, rulers, tape measures, pens, pencils). Tea, coffee and biscuits
