Whether you have never used a sewing machine before or are returning to sewing and want to refresh your machine skills, this easygoing full day class is for you.


During the day you will be guided through making an attractive and useful tote bag you can use again and again. This class is open to all ages, teens and tweens are welcome, younger sewers can be accompanied by a parent (please let us know upon booking)


The day will be very flexible to allow everyone to work at their own pace. During the class we will cover the basics of:

Machine set up

Sewing a range of stitches

Straight seams and turning corners

Marking, pinning and cutting a pattern

Joining pieces of fabric together

Finishing touches to make your project truly unique.


Sessions run from 10.30am to 3.30pm. Our classes are limited to six participants so every one has access to the space and support they need.


You will need to bring:

Please bring half a meter of fabric (a pretty upholstery weight fabric is perfect)


What's included:

Full instructions and expert guidance will be provided throughout the course. Use of Janome sewing machines and all sewing equipment will be provided. (scissors, rulers, tape measures, pens, pencils). Tea, coffee and biscuits
