The start of any successful dressmaking project is a properly prepared and sized pattern, get this right and the rest will fall into place. This class takes you through the steps to size, prepare and refine the fit of your pattern properly, ensuring you avoid frustrating results further down the line. A must for any aspiring dressmaker this class will help ensure a perfect fit every time.
During the class we will cover:
- Taking body measurements
- Identifying the correct pattern size
- Checking sizing against pattern pieces
- Ease, style and bodyshape and how they affect fit
- Toiling and fitting
- Common adjustments and fit issues
Sessions run from 10.30am to 1.30pm. Our classes are limited to six participants so every one has access to the space and support they need.
