Dreaming of the seaside? Then it’s time for you to create your own seascape in water mixable oil paint, in this all inclusive one day class.
You will start the workshop by looking at Emma’s paintings and discussing composition. You will be provided with reference materials, or you can use your own images to work from.
Emma will then demonstrate how to sketch out your desired composition on paper.
You will be shown the step-by-step approach to creating a seascape painting including how to dry medium and working on an easel. Emma will demonstrate how to gradually build up the layers using a limited colour palette and a variety of brushes.
The group will stop for lunch (packed lunches are welcome, alternatively there are many lovely coffee shops, a delicatessen and two local pubs where lunch can be found). You will continue to finish your canvas during the afternoon. By the end of the workshop, you will have beautiful seascape painting to take home.
Please note that your finished pieces will require drying time at home.
