Whether you have never used a sewing machine before or are returning to sewing and want to refresh your machine skills, this easygoing 5 week course is for you.
The course will be very flexible to allow everyone to work at their own pace. During the course we will create a number of useful items which cover and allow practicising of the following techniques:
- Machine set up
- Sewing a range of stitches
- Straight seams and turning corners
- Marking, pinning and cutting a pattern
- Joining pieces of fabric together
- Finishing and decorative touches to make your project truly unique.
Sessions run from 10.30am to 1pm. Our classes are limited to six participants so every one has access to the space and support they need.

You will need to bring:
Please bring half a meter of fabric (upholstery weight fabric or a pretty cotton is perfect) and matching thread to the first session, materials requirements will be shared with you week by week following that.
Full instructions for all projects and expert guidance will be provided throughout the course. Use of Janome sewing machines and all sewing equipment will be provided. (scissors, rulers, tape measures, pens, pencils). Tea, coffee and biscuits
